Two arrests after teen stabbed to death near Prince George's school in Battersea
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a teenager was stabbed to death near Prince George's school.
The 19-year-old victim was found with stab wounds in Wolsey Court, Battersea, south London, shortly before 8pm on Tuesday.
Despite the efforts of paramedics he died at the scene about 45 minutes later, the Metropolitan Police said.
He was found less than half a mile from Prince George's primary school, Thomas's Battersea.
On Wednesday morning, police said they arrested two men, aged 19 and 27, on suspicion of murder after they turned up at a central London hospital.
The victim's next of kin has been informed and a post-mortem examination is due to take place.
Mayor of London Sadiq Khan wrote on Twitter: "Heartbreaking to hear of the death of a young man in Battersea. My thoughts tonight are with his family and friends."
